Originally conceived of as a solo album for Daniel Bateman, the eponymous 'Count', Count Bateman evolved into Frog's 4th release when original drummer Thomas White moved to the UK and Daniel became the only member of the band. Daniel is the only person featured on the record, and serves as drummer, guitarist, keyboardist, singer, songwriter, engineer, producer, tape operator, and town crier of the project.
